An update from a Church we built in Hesse Haiti, the Church is alive and well.

The Hesse Baptist Church of the Witnesses of Jesus Christ was founded in 2013 by Star of Hope (Haiti) and is connected to the Hesse school. Through God’s grace, the church has been contributing to spiritual growth through evangelism campaigns in the community of Hesse Grand Goâve. The church currently has 208 baptized members and 158 believers who have not yet been baptized.

The church is active with various programs and activities such as Sunday church service and Sunday school with classes for married men and women, youth, adolescents, and children. The youth and young people are trained in healthy ways and participate in cultural activities to showcase their talents. There is also a ladies’ service every Thursday which can be held either at the church or at a sister’s house if needed.

On Saturdays, there is a Bible study for children’s classes that focuses on the importance of spiritual education for children. The pastor is seeking help to build a rectory to separate the children from the adults.

Additionally, 23 young people from the church are part of a group called JLAC (Young Angel Leaders for Christ) that serves the social needs of the church. The church also has about twenty widows and widowers whom they take care of.

The church committee is led by Pastor Ramsais Alexis, with Deacon Guitho Forvil serving as the first secretary and superintendent of Sunday school. The committee also includes Deacon Toussaint Manasse, Deacon Francius Laflupe, Mrs. Alise Joseph as the 2nd secretary, Alexis Clement as a counselor, and Schella Joseph Alexis as coordinator of spiritual activities.

Overall, the Hesse Baptist Church of the Witnesses of Jesus Christ is committed to serving the community through spiritual growth and community service. We are posting low resolution images as that is what we have for this post.
